I try to plan my Christmas well in advance and make sure i check what things need to be replaced or if i have enough. Well the first thing on my list has been ticked off already . That was a New 2013 Inner-B mum organizer so i can make notes through out the year to jot down when needed. It arrived yesterday WooHoo.
This year i did not do my over the top planning as we usually don't spend Christmas at home we escape to the country or somewhere for at least 10 days and spend Christmas there and came back on new years Day or just after .
We put our tree up usually on the 1st December after Dinner. This year we will go and buy a real tree . Cos we normally use the fake ones and there is nothing wrong with that at all. I really love the smell of pine trees . It wont be ginormous just normal you know medium height so it can fit through the door at least!
GET A CHRISTMAS SAVINGS / CLUB ACCOUNT:
We have had a Christmas savings club so we can put aside for things like presents ,extra food ,maybe a longer holiday who knows..... We put in each week with out fail sometimes a little sometimes a lot. We keep track of what's in there and can not take it out until late November.
CHRISTMAS LIGHT SPOTTING:
It's a big family tradition in this house we go house Christmas light show spotting we all get in the car go to a few places we see amazing light shows.
We have this lovely couple the must be in their 70's they have 8 grandchildren from ages 2 -16 the do up their front garden like it's the north pole the roof, grass trees everything has lights most years they do a story last year it was the Ginger bread man and shrek. I shall see if i can get some pictures to show you in a later post closer to December.
HOME MADE DECORATIONS:
Make some popcorn with string and hang up ,cut out paper with shapes to make snow flakes , Get pine cones and spray paint them gold / Silver . Find things you can make at home instead of spending a wad of cash for fancy decorations this year.
DO YOU PLAN AHEAD FOR CHRISTMAS ?
