The joys of painting the ceiling and kitchen ..............

Just the other day we decided to paint the ceiling! yes on a gorgeous Melbourne day temp of 28 deg.
I should have been out at the park ,shopping the beach or having a nice beer at the local pub. But no  painting was the option i chose!

We already did the walls (only under coat)  and cos we are doing the painting ourselves we are taking some time . Plus doing all this ourselves has saved a few thousand $$$ if you ask me.

So we used a ceiling roller thingy and the stick part was from a old mop so  that was ok.
So we wen to Bunnings got the rollers (8 heads for $300 pretty awesome if i say so) and some paint it was on sale (thank goodness)

We ended up not covering the floor oh well .The kitchen is tiled so the paint will come off easily when i get down and use a razor blade to scrape off paint lol then mop it.

Walls will be done over this weekend i would say. My ceiling took about nearly 8 litres of paint .

 

When painting remeber to wear crappy old clothes ! Well i don't really have any crap stuff but do now cos my good jeans got paint all over them Grrr

I also got more paint in my hair and clothes  lol never have a paint fight cos i lost too!!!!!

See the walls with just even one coat ~ see the pink seeping through yes we have had a horrid pink kitchen for 6 years Oh. My. gawd.

Now when we paint the walls on Sunday i was thinking .....

SHOULD I DO ONE FEATURE WALL?
