Today i am showcasing Dion's Art Work ~ I think he is on a winner somewhere here i see high things for my man . Just where to start?. Who to contact? he has never taken a class in art . But when he paints his pain and everything goes all into his work . Even i can see it in all his paintings.
years ago we sold one piece of his art work to an Italian lady on eBay (she sent us a beautiful letter after woods) stating that if we ever decide to pop over to Italy my hubby's master piece is sitting in her Galleria !
So here are some of Dion's work .Maybe just one day we will see if his art work can go in the Archibald prize? You never know really?

So i told Dion that i would put his Art on the blog and to see what my readers thought of them.
Dion thinks they are all rubbish??? Um i don't not at all!!!
So what i am asking you is give my man some critique of his paintings good or bad . Gotta start somewhere right. Thank you x
Wanna keep up to date with all the happenings on A Dose of Dannie!?
Well make sure you fill out the newsletter form so you get it weekly!

I think he's very talented. Perhaps he should look further into taking some classes to get his confidence up?
ReplyDeleteNot rubbish. Perhaps you guys should try a stall at the local markets. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteDannie, Hubby has a creative knack for the use of color and illusion. I especially love the vase and flowers and the colorful village near the bridge. Selling???? Keep up the great work, Dion!
ReplyDeleteKatherine thanks selling? Might try ebay or guntree .....
DeleteThey are not rubbish at all! I don't have an arty bone in my body and I would love to be half as talented - I hope he can grow in confidence and take it further one day.
ReplyDeleteNot rubbish at all! Definitely some talent there. I agree with Janine above - maybe a class or an online group to help develop some confidence and fine tune his existing skills?
ReplyDeleteNice mix of mediums there - definitely talented.
ReplyDeleteThe teacher in me says to write an accompanying short paragraph about the piece, particularly if it's based on your local area and approach the coolest local cafe/community space you can find to put them on display.
He could pitch it as raising funds to merely cover supplies and art tuition.
Go for it Dion!
Thanks for that :-) Sounds like a plan ....
DeleteThose are really good. This is from someone who likes to look at art but has no idea how to do it. I can barely manage a round circle!
ReplyDeleteI reckon Gumtree or eBay for sure
Emily :)
He definitely has talent!!! Archibald Prize, here we come! :)
ReplyDeleteYou Betcha Grace!!! :-)
