As a hairdresser I cannot believe they did this. I also cannot believe they didnt offer you a discount or freebie. What a shocking way to conduct business. Maybe I'm too nice but if I screwed up it would come out my pocket not yours!!
I think you should have asked to speak with the manager. If she was the manager you should have asked how the problem was to be rectified (retinting is not enough). The chemicals are super strong in tints and I know what blonde does..I hate how some give others a bad name. I wouldnt risk going back to that salon.

Regarding your weight sometimes you just have to wait for things to click. I found changing my diet and excersising took a few months to fully get the hang of. Like everything else it takes practice and will. Reducing bad foods and incorporating healthier alternatives would be a great start.

Above all you need to read the picture of those scales though. You are a beautiful woman regardless of size

weightloss is bloody hard, you didn't put the weight on overnight, so you're not going to be able to take it off over night, it's going to take effort, pain and a lot of slog but if you're determined to do it - then you will!!

first thing - cut back on your coffee!! 9 cups a day! that's 18 tsp of sugar you're consuming just in your drinks, not to mention anything else you put in your mouth. cut down the amount of coffee you drink and cut back to 1 tsp of sugar in each cup, eventually cutting back to NO sugar in it. i went cold turkey on sugar in my coffee over 14 years ago, just one day decided i wasn't going to have sugar in it anymore, now i can't stand it if it has any in - too sweet.

you're weight is not an indicator of your self worth or how much people love you BUT if you don't like yourself, then you're going to love yourself. feeling good about yourself starts with YOU, you control that. start by just telling yourself on good thing ABOUT yourself every day, just one. increase how active you are by parking that little bit further away from places, walk a bit faster, do a few laps of your garden once a day - anything to get you moving. you don't have to run a marathon, you just have to move.

i lost 8.6kg in the last 3 weeks of january, just by cutting out crap, portion control of what i did eat and exercising for 15 minutes on the treadmill, during which i walked 1.2km. was it hard, bloody hell yes but i'm DETERMINED to drop 50.6kg this year. by going hard for the first month, it means i only have to lose less than 1kg a week for the rest of the year to meet goal.

Dannie you CAN do this but it's going to be hard but once you've committed to it, you will have people out there supporting you. i promise!

I would probably sit there at the hairdressers and barely say anything too, I'm hopeless with that stuff.

And as much as I enjoy watching the biggest loser I sometimes hate the way they indirectly push the "you're nothing until you lose weight" agenda. I'm struggling to get the baby weight off second time around so I hear you on the self-esteem issue :)

Hm. The hair. Go back, demand your money back because they screwed up. I'm stunned they charged you when they so blatantly screwed up. Not good customer service, not good policy, not good training or quality control. Don't let them try to tell you there's no damage done, because my bet is the chemicals in the hair will prevent you from getting another colour any time in the next two weeks. If they want to retain your business, they should cough up and give you the next colour and cut for free.

As for weight, welcome to the club. I reckon we can all see our failings, the advice we give others, but rarely concede how many other things we do in our days for ourselves and others. And that goes for guys too. I also think that people lose weight when one of two things happens - they have a life or quality of life threatening event that scares the hell out of them (nothing like fear for motivation) or they relinquish something else in their life to make time to plan to eat properly and exercise. If you are time poor, all the planning in the world is not going to make a person lose weight. that's why those people on the weight loss shows do so well - because they have no other responsibilities to think about on a daily basis. Oh, and did you hear about a week ago that they'd been giving the contestants TWO weeks between some episodes to lose weight on the Biggest Lower, not one? Makes the weight losses look spectacular, but also unrealistic for the average person.

FYI-I've regained all the weight I lost 9 years ago after suffering an injury (yes, it scared me! Lost a lot of weight). I intend to shift it all again this year, but it will require prioritising my day around meal planning and exercise. I know how I lost it last time, I know why I put it on. I'll be wearing my favourite dress agin next summer. But things in my life have fallen into place to let me do this and I'm going to make sure I use the spare time. I'm going to have time on my hands for once. And therein lies the difference. I will have time.

Last thing. If people see only your weight, they are not worth your time. Weight is not a measure of character, only of others narrow mindedness and lack of compassion. We cannot please everyone, we should not wish to please everyone. But we should be able to look at ourselves in the mirror, regardless of size and say we like the person who looks back at us, because they have are good, kind and honest. There's nothing more appealing than some who likes themself.

Oh sweetie congratulations you are just like thousands of women in Australia let alone millions around the world. It seems to me your weight issues have been ongoing and it has now settled into depression. If you cannot lose weight alone have you thought about talking to your gp about your physical and mental issues? Otherwise you an join me the fad diet queen of a lifetime on this 1 million kg challenge and we can lose weight together. I just had an emergency gall bladder surgery done last week bit I committed myself to losing 20 kg this year and this is where it starts surgery or not pain or not im doing this. Obviously i cannot exercise at the moment. It will be good to hear from you anyway cos you sound really down. No good luv.
